This Jingdezhen "Lanting Xu" Master Cup seamlessly merges the pinnacle of Chinese calligraphy with a thousand years of imperial porcelain craftsmanship. More than just a teacup, it is a miniature work of literati art, bringing a poetic elegance to every tea session.

Key Features
-Calligraphy as Art: The entire body features Wang Xizhi's legendary masterpiece, the Preface to the Poems Collected from the Orchid Pavilion (Lanting Xu), meticulously rendered in underglaze blue. The fluid, expressive cursive strokes capture the free-spirited elegance of the Wei-Jin dynasties. Every sip feels like a dialogue with history.

-Classical Elegance: Crafted from immaculate porcelain that is ivory-white, fine, and translucent like jade. The underglaze blue develops a deep, elegant tone, creating a timeless, classic contrast of blue and white.

-Pure Tasting Experience: White porcelain does not absorb aromas or alter flavors, ensuring the most authentic expression of your tea. Whether brewing a delicate green tea or a rich, charcoal-roasted Oolong, this cup perfectly honors the liquor's true character.

Material & Specifications

Material: Premium Kaolin clay (高岭土), Underglaze Blue (Qinghua)
Capacity: 60ml—the ideal gold standard for an individual master cup.
Dimensions: Rim Diameter: 6cm, Height: 5cm.

Craftsmanship: Fired at approximately 1300°C for complete vitrification, yielding a crisp, resonant chime when tapped.

The underglaze blue technique ensures the calligraphy will never fade, while remaining completely lead- and cadmium-free.

1. Before Use

  • Rinse inside and out with warm water, or prime gently with a splash of light tea.

2. Daily Ritual

  • The Ritual: Pause to appreciate the calligraphy, take in the aroma from the warm porcelain, and then sip.
  • Pairing: Excellent for all teas. Highly recommended for lighter varieties (Green, White, or floral Oolongs) to beautifully frame the color of the tea liquor.

3. Cleaning & Storage

  • Gentle Clean: Rinse promptly after use. Wipe with a soft sponge or cotton cloth; avoid abrasive brushes.
  • Temperature: Avoid sudden, extreme temperature changes (such as rinsing a hot cup with cold water) to prevent cracking.
  • Personal Vessel: Best kept as a dedicated personal cup to anchor your daily tea practice.
